MR BRYAN O'DONNELL

MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Bryan was appointed as Chief Executive Officer on 2 January 2018 and Managing Director on 8 January 2018.

Bryan is a seasoned oil & gas executive and brings a wealth of commercial, operating and project development experience to Carbon Energy at this critical point in its next phase of growth.

Bryan has extensive commercial and upstream petroleum development expertise from over 30 years managing oil, gas and CSG developments for ExxonMobil, Oil Search, Arrow Energy, Westside Corporation and BHP Petroleum. Prior to joining the Carbon Energy Limited, Bryan was part of the Westside Executive Team as the Development Manager responsible for the Meridian Development.  Previously, Bryan was the General Manager Surat Development for Arrow Energy where he was responsible for managing the Surat upstream LNG development, domestic gas projects and the LNG ramp gas commercial strategy and the negotiation of a number of GSAs.  Prior to that, Bryan was the Manager of Projects for Oil Search Limited where he managed successful safe delivery of more than $US800 Million of oil & gas development projects.

MS YE-FEI GUO

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND COMPANY SECRETARY

Ye-Fei was appointed as Chief Financial Officer on 22 August 2017 and Company Secretary on 5 October 2017.

Ye-Fei brings extensive financial experience over a number of sectors including asset and funds management, real estate, energy and financial services. Her experience spans across listed and unlisted entities with operations in both Australia and overseas. Prior to joining Carbon Energy, Ye-Fei held various positions at Brookfield Asset Management and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ian was appointed as Company Secretary on 31 July 2017.

Ian is a qualified Company Secretary and Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience in businesses operating in Australia and overseas. Ian's experience includes many years in the resource sector. He provides secretarial and advisory services to a range of companies and is company secretary of other public listed companies.

Cliff Mallett is responsible for the ongoing development of Carbon Energy’s world-leading technology. Additionally, Cliff undertakes assessment of potential coal deposits that may be suitable for the Company’s expanding portfolio of Australian and international projects. He is also heavily involved with the evaluation of emerging carbon capture and storage opportunities. Cliff is a world leading authority on UCG. Having pioneered Carbon Energy’s keyseam technology, Cliff continues to lead our experienced technical team, who have achieved the most effective operations and the highest gas quality publically recorded from a UCG project; as well as having keyseam independently validated by the Queensland Chief Scientist.  Prior to working with Carbon Energy Cliff was one of the lead scientists with the CSIRO, that developed keyseam following 10 years of research and development. 

Cliff has been associated with advancing the development of UCG process technology for more than 15 years and has degrees in geology from the University of Queensland and the University of Melbourne. He has almost 30 years experience in mining research at CSIRO culminating in him acting as Chief of CSIRO Exploration and Mining Division, interim Director of the Centre for Low Emission Technology, and Executive Manager, Queensland Centre of Advanced Technologies.  Cliff was appointed Chairman of the International Association for Underground Coal Gasification (UCGA) and in June 2016, Director of the International UCG Research Centre for China.

Stuart MacKenzie brings to the Company strong resources and legal experience having worked initially as a geologist in Canada before becoming a corporate lawyer at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) and Stikeman Elliott. From 2001 Stuart served as an internal legal counsel and company secretary for Placer Dome Asia Pacific, Lihir Gold Limited and Pacific Aluminium as well as advising Barrick Gold Inc. on two projects in Papua New Guinea and is currently general counsel for Chinova Resources.
